CBSE will conduct the next UGC NET Commerce examination on December 2015. Those of you willing to take the examination must have started to work on it. For those of you still in dilemma, it’s high time to pull up your socks.
You’ll have to solve three question papers. UGC NET Commerce Paper I, Paper II and Paper III.
UGC NET Commerce Paper II comprises of 50 objectives type questions, including Multiple choices, Matching type, True/False, Assertion-Reasoning type. The question paper will carry 100 marks.
UGC NET Commerce Paper III is further divided into two parts – A and B. Paper III (A) will have 10 short essay type questions carrying 16 marks each, you’ll have to write the answer within 300 words. No external choice will we offered, however, there will be one question with internal choice from each unit (i.e. 10 questions from 10 units; maximum marks 160.)
Paper III (B) is compulsory and paper will be comprised of one question from each of the Electives. You’ll have to attend only one question within 800 words for 40 marks. UGC NET Commerce Paper III will carry 200 marks.
Coming 5 months are really crucial, and it’s you who can optimize it to the maximum potential. Here I’ve enlisted 5 tips on How to prepare for UGC NET Commerce Exam that will ease your workload and enhance your efficiency
1. UNDERSTAND YOUR SYLLABUS
The first thing to do is to understand your syllabus, just go through it properly and also try to go through 10 years question papers. This will better place you to understand the pattern and syllabus, which will also boost your confidence further in preparation of UGC NET Commerce exam.
2. MANAGE YOUR TIME
One robust timetable is very much necessary to prepare for UGC NET Commerce. The syllabus is itself very vast. Randomly picking up a book and studying them will do no good.
Paper II and Paper III (A) are comprised of 10 units alone. Paper III (B) will have 5 electives. You’ll have to devote your time systematically.
- Start with those topics you find easy to comprehend, and then progress towards time taking one. Do not linger on one topic, seek the help of your teachers or seniors or coaching to avoid wastage of time and to get proper orientation.
- When you start preparing for the exam, make yourself mentally prepared for some hard work. Following your schedule for just a week or so won’t suffice. Consistency is highly important for preparations.
3. STAY WELL UPDATED & EQUIPPED
Once you set course for the UGC NET Commerce exam make sure there’s no further distraction and running around for your resources like study materials, sample papers, and other things.
Before you visit the market to buy all your tools and books, just make a comprehensive list of items that you will need to buy. You can visit Kamla Nagar, where you will find ample of second-hand books in good conditions.
Inside second-hand books you’re most likely to find some markings on important topics, special notes, and many helpful things. These will provide a great deal of benefit.
4. DO SMART WORK INSTEAD OF HARD WORK
No matter if you study day and night, you eat just once a day to stay awake you’ll not accomplish your goal until your planning is effective.
- Firstly, never ever commit a mistake of ignoring your health.
- Secondly, work smartly. No need to rush to complete one book in a day, take your time, but devote your 100 percent during the time of the study.
- Now that you know types of question in Paper II and III, it will be a wise decision to finish the course for Paper II first, and then prepare for Paper III, as it is time-consuming.
5. REVISION IS HIGHLY CRUCIAL!
When you finish your syllabus, all you have to do is revise it. Revision is the key for your success in UGC NET Commerce exam. Revise the entire syllabus at least once, thoroughly.
Make sure you’ve enough time to completely revise your syllabus in time, and properly. Don’t just use revision to go through topics and books, make it a habit of revising meticulously.
